The Beavers dropped their opening game at Fairfield on Friday night, 21-7.  The Indians struck first late in the first quarter following a blocked punt that was recovered at the 2-yard line.  Fairfield scored a few plays later to take a 7-0 lead.  The Beavers tied it up just before the half, following a 37-yard run by Allen Lawrence and a two-yard dive by Mike Berry on fourth and goal.   The Indians broke the tie with a big 84-yard pass in the third quarter to take a 14-7 lead and then tacked on another 8-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter.  Lawrence finished the game with 70 yards on the ground, with Berry tallying 59 yards.  The Beaver defense held Fairfield to 19 yards rushing, with Bert Neyhouse and Tyler Reasoner each recording 7 tackles each.  Jared Waters added 3 interceptions for the Beavers.  Beavercreek falls to 0-1 on the year and will play at Carroll on Friday, September 6th at 7:30 pm.  Go Beavers!  Beat Carroll!
