Beavercreek secured its first GWOC Central win of the season Friday night, 38-12 at Springfield.  The Beavers chewed up the clock with a steady dose of running the football, finishing the night with 356 yards on the ground.  Beavercreek built an early 14-0 lead following touchdown runs by Allen Lawrence and Airius Moore.  But Springfield struck back, with Thaddeus Snodgrass scoring on a 17-yard reception.  The extra point attempt was no good.  The Wildcat defense then came up big with a 54-yard interception return for a touchdown, cutting the Beavers’ lead to 14-12 at the half.  But the second half was all Beavers, with Mike Berry and Allen Lawrence scoring on runs and Kyle Petering adding a 24-yard FG to give the Beavers a 31-12 lead late in the game.  The Beavers capped off the scoring on a 72-yard TD run by Billy Martin with 18 seconds to play.  The Beavers held the Wildcats to -22 yards rushing and 79 total yards in a dominating defensive performance.  The Beavers next travel to Centerville to take on the Elks.  Go Beavers!
