For the second straight year, the Beavercreek Beavers ended the season with a shutout of the Fairmont Firebirds.  The Beavers controlled the first half, taking a 21-0 halftime lead.  The Beavers’ first score came on a 76-yard touchdown run by David Tipton.  Mike Berry then hit Austin Cull for a 7-yard touchdown pass to give the Beavers a 14-0 lead early in the second quarter.  Jared Waters added a 56-yard touchdown run to cap off the first half scoring.  Allen Lawrence added a 4-yard score late in the fourth quarter to give the Beavers’ the final score of 28-0.  Lawrence rushed for 90 yards on the night, surpassing 1,000 yards on the season.  Senior quarterback Mike Berry lead all rushers with 172 yards on the ground.  The Beavers rushed for 477 yards on the night, finishing the year ranked second in the GWOC in rushing yards.  Beavercreek’s defense finished the year as the top-rated defense in the GWOC, yielding just 213.9 yards and 17.1 points per game.  The defense was senior-led by Tyler Reasoner, Airius Moore, RJ Cowans, Justin Eby, Michael Carroll, Bert Neyhouse, Jared Waters, Austin Johnson, and Josh Greenspan.  The Beavers finish the season at 5-5 (2-3 GWOC).
