The 2014 Jamboree game ended in a 13-13 tie Friday night as the Beavers hosted the Vandalia Butler Aviators in the annual preseason matchup.  This year’s Jamboree included three quarters of play.  Butler scored first on a long scoring drive to take an early 7-0 lead.  The drive was extended by penalty after the Beavers came up with a big stop on 3rd and 15 at midfield.  But the Beavers answered quickly as Hunter Maloney broke off a 45-yard run on the first play from scrimmage to put the Beavers deep in Aviator territory.  Four plays later, Hunter Steele punched it in from a yard out to put the Beavers on the board.  Following the extra point by Michael Chuck, the score was tied at 7-7.  Butler took the lead 13-7 in the second quarter on a 7-yard touchdown pass, but missed the extra point.  That score was set up when the Aviators intercepted a pass and returned it to the Beavercreek 18-yard line.  The Beavers again were able to answer the score after Logan Turben scampered 31 yards for the score, but a missed PAT left the score tied at 13-13.  The Beavers open their season next Friday night at home against Xenia.  Go Beavers!
