The Beavers, fresh off a disappointing road loss last Friday at Centerville, return home to face the Wayne Warriors (kickoff at 7:00 PM).  Beavercreek comes into the game at 6-2 and still holding onto slim playoff hopes, while Wayne is unbeaten at 8-0 and currently ranked second in the Division I AP poll.  The Beavers have not beaten Wayne since 2012, when they pulled the upset at Wayne, 14-13.

This year’s game set up a classic battle with Beavercreek boasting the GWOC’s top rushing offense at 307 yards per game, and Wayne has the league’s top rushing defense, allowing just over 66 yards per contest.  Beavercreek’s Tim Bradshaw enters the game as the top rusher in the GWOC with 1,289 yards on the season.  He has rushed for over 100 yards in every game but one and is coming off a big performance at Centerville in which he rushed for 260 yards and 2 touchdowns.

KEYS TO THE GAME: The Beavers will face their most challenging test in trying to crack the Wayne defense, which is not just tough against the run, but also ranks first against the pass and leads the league in scoring defense (7.3 points per game).  Field position will be critical for the Beavers, especially if they can get into areas of the field in which they can use all four downs.  On defense, the Beavers will need to pressure Wayne QB Messiah DeWeaver.  If the Beavercreek defense can force some turnovers, they have a chance to surprise the Warriors.  Go Beavers!
