A number of Beavers were awarded All-GWOC East Division honors recently, with Senior LB Jack Knipper being named Athlete of the Year along with Senior Danny Davis of Springfield.  Knipper anchored the Beavercreek defense with a team-high 70 tackles and 5.5 sacks, with one interception on the season.  Knipper was also named to the All-East Division First Team.  Joining Knipper on the First Team were fellow seniors Mike Davis (OL), Jay Drennen (DL), and Jullian Linkhart (DB), and Juniors Bryce Neuse (DB) and Kaden Wenger (RB).  Second Team selections included seniors Alex Connolly (OL), Jack Kowalski (DB), and Nick Thurston (LB).  Junior DB Jordan Williams was named Special Mention.

Coach Nic Black was named East Division Coach of the Year, sharing the honors with Wayne coach Jay Minten.  Black guided the Beavers to a 4-6 season in which four losses were decided by six points or less, with two losses in the final seconds.  Black, who is 14-16 in three seasons at Beavercreek, had the team on the verge of a playoff berth had a couple of the close heart-breaking defeats gone the other way.
