Beavercreek will look to end its two-game slide this Friday as the Beavers travel to Springfield to take on the 5-2 Wildcats, in a game that is pivotal for both squads.  Beavercreek is coming off a 42-12 home loss to Wayne, while Springfield is looking to rebound from a 22-10 setback against Northmont.  Last week against Wayne, the Beavers dominated time of possession and even outgained the Warriors in total yardage, but gave up too many big plays in the blowout loss.  The Beavers should be able to again control the clock against Springfield with a consistent running attack.  Springfield ranks sixth defensively in the GWOC against the run.  Creek is first overall in the GWOC with 348 yards rushing per game and boasts the league’s second-leading rusher in Senior Kaden Wenger.  Last week, Wenger put up 137 yards against Wayne to bring his season total to 1175 yards.  Springfield won last year’s matchup 32-27, breaking a five-game winning streak for the Beavers over the Wildcats.  The Beavers have not lost at Springfield since 2009.  Kickoff is at 7:00 PM.  Go Beavers!
